Moon Seeds and Moon Bites are both products that make the nutritionist backed practice, seed syncing (seed cycling), simple and convenient.

MOON SEEDS are our two blends of raw, organic seeds that come in the exact quantities of seeds needed to practice seed syncing. Perfect for those who love being creative in the kitchen! Check out our Kitchen Rituals recipe blog for hormone-supportive recipe ideas.

MOON BITES are delicious 40 g energy bites that include the exact quantities of organic, raw seeds needed daily to practice seed syncing. Super convenient and perfect for those who are constantly on the go!

I accidentally ate more than one Moon Bite today. What should I do now?

We’re flattered! Moon Bites were specially designed to be delicious.

But don’t stress if you accidentally ate more than your daily serving! It’s the consistency that is key. We recommend skipping the next day, and getting back on track to one bite per day.

How should I store your products? How long do they last?

When kept in a cool, dark, and dry place, Moon Bites and Moon Seeds are best up to 90 days. If you live in a warmer area, we recommend refrigerating or freezing them to maintain optimal freshness, which allows them to keep for up to 180 days.

Why do your products use flax, pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds?

These four powerful seeds contain numerous micronutrients and chemical compounds:
  • Lignans are cancer-fighting plant compounds that have antioxidant and estrogen properties that can help alleviate period-related breast pain and detoxify the body of excess hormones.
  • Magnesium and Zinc have been shown to alleviate PMS symptoms— from reduced cramping to minimized migraines.
  • Vitamin B1, B6, E, and other micronutrients that can help further alleviate breast pain, period cramps, and menstrual migraines.

Read our literature review on the science of the micronutrients in each of the four seeds: flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds.

Seed Syncing Practice

What is seed syncing?

Seed syncing, or seed cycling, is a daily nutrition practice often recommended by naturopaths and nutritionists to help support and improve menstrual cycles. It involves the consuming specific combinations of four seeds during different phases of menstruation. Each seed contains a micronutrient or chemical compound that can help support the body’s natural ability to modulate sex hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone. Balancing such hormones can help improve a number of period-related symptoms.

What benefits can I expect from seed syncing?

Everybody experiences different period-related symptoms that are often related to hormonal imbalance. Nutrition-based practices like seed syncing can offer rise to numerous benefits. Here is a list of some of the things our subscribers have reported:
  • More regular periods
  • Reduced cramps
  • Clearer skin
  • Minimized mood swings
  • Less menstrual migraines
  • Better sleep quality
  • Improved fertility
  • Reduction in PCOS symptoms

How many seeds do I eat daily?

Each pouch of Moon Seeds contains:
  • 14 days’ worth of seeds
  • 1 plastic scoop (equivalent to 2 tbsp)
So, eat 1 scoop or 2 tbsp of ground Moon Seeds every day.

How long until I see improvements from seed syncing?

Natural solutions aren’t an overnight fix, so continue seed syncing for at least three cycles. Most subscribers see full benefits by six months. A healthy diet, regular exercise, and proper stress management can all allow you to see improvements even sooner.
If you have PCOS or endometriosis, be more patient with your body and continue seed syncing for 6-12 months.

Do the seeds have to be freshly ground? Why?

Yes! When ground, the micronutrients and chemical compounds in the seeds become more bioavailable, and thus are more readily assimilated by the body.
For best results, you can purchase a seed grinder from us with your first order, or use a coffee grinder or high speed blender you already have.

Is there any science behind seed syncing / seed cycling?

Though scientific research into natural practices like ours aren’t as robust as we’d like, there are interesting studies that correlate seeds and/or their micronutrients and chemical compounds with health benefits, particularly in menstrual and hormonal health.
Read our literature review on the science of the micronutrients in each of the four seeds: flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds.

Can I seed sync if…

I have PCOS and/or endometriosis?

You’ll likely want to practice seed syncing in conjunction with other modalities, but it’s a PCOS- and endometriosis-friendly practice used to help improve symptoms and balance hormone levels. Of course, always speak to your doctor before implementing a new practice.

I’m perimenopausal?

Yes! Perimenopausal individuals have reported lessened symptoms from seed syncing, as it assists them in easing their transition to this new life phase.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We don’t suggest seed syncing while pregnant, but it can be a great tool to get your cycle back on track postpartum. If you wish to practice while breastfeeding, speak to your doctor or healthcare practitioner first.

I currently use/have previously used the pill/IUD?

Absolutely. Many subscribers see symptom improvement while on hormonal birth control. Similarly one of the best use cases for seed syncing is supporting your transition off of hormonal birth control.

I’m not getting a period / have an irregular period?

Yes, with the help of the night sky! Start with Phase 1 on the New Moon, and switch to Phase 2 on the Full Moon. The lunar cycle is 28 days long, providing a good rhythm for your body to mimic if you’re experiencing amenorrhea (missed periods for 3+ months) or super irregular cycles.

I don’t ovulate on Day 15 / my cycle isn’t 28 days long?

Yes! Seed syncing is all about nudging your body to follow an ideal 28-day rhythm. Even if you don’t ovulate on Day 15, always start Phase 2 on that day (immediately upon finishing Phase 1). Likewise, even if your cycle is longer than 28 days and your period has yet to come, immediately restart at Phase 1.
